Locanda del Mulino is our short-supply-chain restaurant. The dishes on our menu are all made with organic flours from stone-ground ancient grains of our own production. The main dish? Our homemade Pici pasta, of course!

Welcome to Locanda del Mulino

Before you sit in our inn, please note that the dishes on our menu are all made with organic flours from stone-ground ancient grains of our production. Before being master pasta makers and millers, we are farmers, and that’s what makes the difference, because we take care of the entire production cycle of cereals, from the fields to the table. Our farm covers more than 100 hectares in the commune of Pienza. We grow ancient grains that are ground in the stone mill right next to the restaurant. Our artisanal pasta is made from our own semolina and flour, within our own pasta factory. If you join us at our Locanda, make sure you visit the mill and witness the production process of the dishes you will taste for lunch.

The visit lasts about 40 minutes, the tasting menu consists of a platter with a selection of cold cuts and cheeses, Pici pasta, dessert and our Lamone DOC Orcia red wine.
