The voucher includes a guided tour of the manufacturing plant with lunch.
The new production plant is located 2Km from Monticchiello, surrounded by our fields and overlooking the Val d’Orcia with a splendid view of Pienza.
After a brief introduction to Ancient Grains, we will begin the journey from the first stage of processing: screening, the process of cleaning the grains that takes place before grinding. The visit continues through the storage area to the mill with stone millstones, where you will witness the grinding and discover the differences between the various types of flour. This leads us to the last phase of the cycle, in the pasta factory where we produce our ancient grain paste drawn in bronze and slowly dried at low temperatures.
To conclude the visit, all you have to do is taste! You can enjoy a very short supply chain lunch at our restaurant at the charming Castello di Spedaletto, about 6 km from the pasta factory.
