Chickpeas are legumes from ancient origins and largely widespread in the world. The chickpeas fruit are contained in the pod of the plant, irregularly shaped and cream colored.
It’s a very caloric food, rich in protein, carbohydrates, fiber, starch, minerals and vitamins A and C, as well as saponins, substances that help the body to eliminate cholesterol from the intestine.
From fresh chickpeas are gluten free.
Chickpeas grown on the farm on an area of about 2 hectares are a native variety, sown in mid-March are harvested in July and August. Chickpeas are screened on the farm and packed in a controlled atmosphere in our mill.
